The early-2000s estate replacement wave.
Pakenham’s first big estates — Cardinia Lakes, Lakeside, Heritage Springs — were built in the early 2000s and the original gas ducted furnaces and add-on cooling units are now hitting the 15–20 year replacement window all at once. We replace dead units, change ageing gas ducted over to high-efficiency reverse-cycle under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) rebate, and carbon-monoxide test every old gas heater to AS/NZS 5601 before deciding repair vs replace.

Cardinia gets frosts and single-digit winter nights, then hot dry summer days that touch 40C. An undersized system runs flat-out and dies early; an oversized one short-cycles and wastes money. We do a proper room-by-room heat-load calculation — orientation, ceiling height, insulation, glazing — so a Heritage Springs multi-zone ducted system or an Officer new-build install is sized right the first time, not guessed off floor area.

Refrigerated and split work is done under an ARCtick refrigerant handling licence; gas ducted to a VBA gas licence and AS/NZS 5601 with a CO test; electrical to AS/NZS 3000. Every install is commissioned and documented so your manufacturer warranty and home insurance stay valid — and so the annual-service conditions that keep that warranty alive are actually met.
